Association for Strategic Planning–Orange County Appoints Inaugural Board of Directors
Top leaders join to bring strategic value to the Orange County business community
IRVINE, Calif., May 15, 2006 — The Orange County chapter of the Association for Strategic Planning, ™ a national non-profit organization that promotes the importance of strategic thinking, today appointed its inaugural board of directors. The local chapter of the national organization was recognized as ASP’s newest chapter in February with a team of recognized Orange County business leaders to serve as board members. The following individuals have been appointed:
- President — Helen Mitchell of Strategic Management Resources
- Vice President — Rick Franz of QLogic Corp.
- Treasurer — Linda Pineda of Ista Pharmaceuticals
- Co-Director, Programs — Colette Caterina of Caterina Consultants
- Co-Director, Programs — Jim McClain of Global Development Partners
- Director, Marketing — Cara Good of WunderMarx Inc.
- Secretary — Ryoko Willyard of infoArtists
The mission of the Orange County chapter is to enhance the profession of strategic planning and enable people and organizations to succeed through improved strategic thinking, planning and execution.
“We’ll accomplish this by focusing on improving the knowledge level and skill set of members and guests,” Mitchell said. “This will be done through the sharing of best practices and the delivery of informative, thought-provoking presentations that create value and result in attracting business leaders from leading companies in Orange County. Our programs are designed to expand their knowledge, ability and skills in strategic thinking, planning and execution.”
The ASP-Orange County chapter includes strategy professionals from industry, academia and the nonprofit sector who are committed to making better strategic business decisions.
